Koert Miller of 2809 Walnut St. will celebrate his 96th birthday on Friday, Feb. 29.

He farmed near Allison and Shell Rock until moving to Cedar Falls. He worked at the University of Northern Iowa until his retirement.

He has a son, Stan of Cedar Rapids, stepson, Ken Brandhorst of Nashua, stepdaughter, Pat Brown of Cedar Falls, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
