Frieda Fenneman of Clarksville will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Clarksville AMVETS Hall, hosted by her children.
She was born Jan. 26, 1908, near Allison to William and Emma Edeker. She married George Fenneman Jan. 30, 1930, at the Vilmar Lutheran Church. They farmed north of Clarksville until 1970, when they moved into Clarksville. Mr. Fenneman passed away in 1983.
Her children and their spouses are Donald and Ruth Fenneman of Clarksville, Shirley Hostetler of Shell Rock and the late Dale Hostetler, Donna and Robert Fuls of Waverly and Judy and Ray Schmidtke of Charles City. There are eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
No invitations are being sent, and no gifts are requested.
