WAVERLY -- Wartburg College on Tuesday will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its annual Corporate Education Day.
The event will begin with registration at 9:15 a.m. in the Saemann Student Center. Keynote speaker Oded Shenkar of Ohio State University will speak at 11:30 a.m. in Neumann Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Shenkar's work will be incorporated into classes at Wartburg during the year.
The anniversary will kick off a yearlong series of conversations about business in China.
The college will host discussions during the year, culminating in a trip May 2009 to China led by Timothy Ewest, assistant professor of business administration.
Herber Hildebrandt, a 1952 Wartburg graduate and professor emeritus of law, history and communication at the University of Michigan School of Business, will serve as visiting lecturer beginning today.
Cost to participate in events on Corporation Education Day is $15.
