Iowa’s Tucker pleads guilty to public intoxication
IOWA CITY (AP) – Iowa freshman guard Anthony Tucker has pleaded guilty to public intoxication.
Court documents say Tucker made the plea Monday. He was fined $100, plus court costs for a total of $182.
Tucker, Iowa’s leading scorer, was suspended indefinitely last week after he was founded unconscious in an alley behind a bar in downtown Iowa City.
Tucker was rushed to the hospital and later charged with public intoxication. His blood-alcohol content was more than double the legal driving limit.
Iowa coach Todd Lickliter has not said when Tucker might return to the team.
The Hawkeyes have won two straight without Tucker in the lineup. They play Saturay at Drake.
