Pedestrian dies after hit by car
EVANSDALE — A man died in the hospital after being hit by a car in Evansdale.

Authorities are investiging the accident which, according to police reports, happened at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Evansdale Police Department along with the Evansdale Fire Department responded to a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the 400 block of Morrell.

Upon arrival, the male victim was found unresponsive and not breathing.

He was transported to Covenant Medical Center where police say he later died.

The driver was taken into custody and charges are pending according to police reports.

No names are being released pending family notification.
