UPDATE: Fatal accident victim identified
WATERLOO — Authorites have identified a rural Waterloo man who was killed in a Wednesday afternoon.
Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputies said Francis Pint, 79, died when his truck collided with a pickup at the intersection of Donald Street and North Elk Run Road.
Pint was wearing a seat belt, deputies said.
The other driver, Bruce Mueller, 58, of Dewar, was taken to Allen Hospital for treatment.
According to the accident report, Pint was going south on Elk Run Road and stopped at the Donald Street stop sign. He then pulled out in front of Mueller’s vehicle, westbound on Donald.
