Today's forecast: Partly sunny, with a high near 74. South southeast wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. South southeast wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

--- Pets 101 (Part 2) will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, corner of West Fourth Street and Ridgeway Avenue, Waterloo. This is an educational forum related to the health and behavior or pets. The cost is free.
--- Jen Chapin will perform at KUNI's Live from Studio One on the third floor of the Communication Arts Center on the UNI campus in Cedar Falls at 7 p.m. Admission is $3 for anyone over age 12.
