Kiewiet takes 13-stroke lead with 67
WATERLOO — The leaders in the 16-17 boys’ and girls’ divisions both ran away and hid with outstanding rounds Tuesday in the Waterloo Jaycees City Junior Golf Tournament.
Following a day-one 70 at Irv Warren, Ryan Kiewiet shot 67 at Gates Park Tuesday to take a 13-stroke lead over Jeremy Carter and Lee Przybylski in the 16-17 boys’ division. Kiewiet carries a 137 total into today’s final round at South Hills.
Jocilyn Onnen took an even more commanding advantage in the 16-17 girls’ division. Her 80-83 – 167 gives her a 20-stroke lead over her only competitor, Andrea Bartlett.
Other division leaders are Nathan Meisinger (14-15 boys, 146), Jack Conway (12-13 boys, 165), Sam Richter (11-under boys, 87) and Jordyn Harper (11-under girls, 187).
