Cleston Fathke (1921-2008)
WATERLOO --- Cleston "Bill" Fathke, 87, of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 15, at Covenant Medical Center of congestive heart failure.

He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Avon, S.D., son of William and Lydia Villhauer Fathke. He married Rose Mary Werner on April 11, 1952, in Tyndall, S.D.

He had worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps, a poultry house in Lanark, Ill., the Savannah Railroad and then at Rath Packing Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1979.

Survived by: his wife; a sister, Ruth Zimmerman of Oroville, Calif.; a brother, Vernon of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Fay Fathke of Medesto, Calif.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and  Arnold.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Chapel, Memorial Park Cemetery, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home.
