PARKERSBURG –- Elvin Wiese will be celebrating his 80th birthday with a family dinner.
He was born Feb. 16, 1928, to William and Trena Wiese near Charles City. He married Lois Meester on Dec. 12, 1951, at the Reformed Church of Stout. They farmed south of Parkersburg until 1991, when they moved to their present home in Parkersburg.
His children are a son, Mervin Glen, deceased; Jane and Denny Dodd of Dike, Melinda and Tom Greiner of Cedar Falls and Sandra and Dean Bakker of Parkersburg. He has eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
