College wrestling: Iowa, UIU win; Cyclones stumble
IOWA CITY -- Top-ranked Iowa won its seventh straight dual wrestling meet Sunday, beating No. 10 Northwestern, 22-13, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Hawkeyes trailed 7-0 and 10-6 before taking charge. They won four of the final five matches to remain unbeaten in Big Ten Conference competition at 3-0. Overall, Iowa is 14-1 in duals.
Charlie Falck won his 20th bout of the season, taking the Hawkeyes' first individual decision at 125 pounds. Phillip Keddy clinched the dual victory with a pin at 184 pounds.
Iowa faces a rugged Big Ten road trip when it goes to Minnesota Friday at 7:30 p.m. and then to Wisconsin Sunday at 1 p.m.

OKLAHOMA STATE 16, IOWA STATE 15 -- At Stillwater, Okla., Brandon Mason's major decision at 174 pounds helped the Cowboys hold off the Cyclones. Mason tallied a pair of near falls against ISU's Aron Scott in the first period and he won the bout, 9-1 to give OSU a huge four-point victory.
Iowa State won five of the 10 weight classes, including a 2-0 decision by top-ranked Jake Varner at 184 pounds.
"I thought we wrestled well today," said ISU head coach Cael Sanderson. "We need to take a few steps now and work ourselves toward coming back here for the Big 12 Tournament. Stillwater is a tough place to wrestle, and we went five-and-five with them."

UPPER IOWA 29, AUGUSTANA 10 -- At Fayette, the seventh-ranked Peacocks reeled off four straight victories from 149 pounds through 174 to beat Augustana in a non-conference matchup.
Upper Iowa is now 5-3 in duals.
