UNI volleyball to face Wisconsin in NCAA tourney
CEDAR FALLS --- The University of Northern Iowa volleyball team (22-10 overall, 14-4 Missouri Valley Conference) will face ninth-ranked Wisconsin (25-4 overall, 17-3 Big Ten) on Friday at 7 p.m. in Madison, Wis., in the first round of the 2007 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

The match can be heard locally on KWLO 1330 AM.

The Panthers earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by virtue of winning the MVC tournament title this weekend. A record four Missouri Valley Conference teams were selected to play in the NCAA tournament, as Wichita State, Missouri State and Illinois State each received at-large bids.

Should UNI win, it would advance to a second round match against either Iowa State (17-13, 11-9 Big 12) or 16th-ranked San Diego (21-7, 11-3 West Coast Conference) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
