'Worth Repeating: Recreating Vintage Quilts'
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through Feb. 23
Location: Grout Museum of History and Science, 503 South St., Waterloo
Details: Quilt exhibit
Cost: General admissions free to Grout members; $4.50 for nonmembers and $3 for children ages 12 and under.
Iowa High School Athletic Association State Football Playoffs
Time: 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Location: UNI-Dome
Details: Finals for 2A and 3A, respectively.
Santa arrives at mall
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Location: College Square Mall, Cedar Falls
Details: Santa will read stories and share milk and cookies with children, and then will go to his winter wonderland to meet with children. Santa will be at the mall through Dec. 24.
'The Nutcracker' by Minnesota Ballet
Time: 2 p.m. today and Sunday
Location: Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, Cedar Falls
Details: The perennial favorite brings the Minnesota Ballet back to the GBPAC -- and a chance for local dancers to perform.
