Woman hospitalized in accident
WATERLOO --- A Waterloo woman was hospitalized following a traffic accident with a utility pole Tuesday afternoon.

Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took Abigail Ann Buenneke, 20, of 1150 E. Mitchell Ave., to Covenant Medical Center after pulling her from her 1995 Toyota Avalon.

Waterloo police said she was treated for head trauma and was in critical condition

The accident happened at 3:39 p.m. at the intersection of West Ridgeway Avenue and South Hill Drive.

A witness said her Buennke's car jumped the curb and hit a pole on Ridgeway Avenue. Rescue crews found her unconscious, according to the police report.
