Sen. Hillary Clinton gave a nod to her Middle America roots when she stopped in Iowa this week to pick up the endorsement of former Gov. Tom Vilsack.

I had a chance to catch up with her in an interview after the event inside the principal’s office of an elementary school.

You might get the idea Republicans aren’t taking the new Democratic hold on the State Capitol so well after reading the message sent out Wednesday afternoon by the Republican Party of Iowa’s Chairman Ray Hoffmann.

U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd announced the opening of his new Iowa campaign headquarters this week. And one source says the Democrat from Connecticut snatched up the office space in downtown Des Moines that Hillary Clinton’s campaign had been eyeing.
